Virgil and I were married for 31 years, survived by a step son and a step daughter and 6 grand children, plus 2 great grand children. He was the most giving, caring, and funny person I have ever known and will be greatly missed. He is home with the Lord and is in very good hands, he will continue to guide me daily.

Virgil was our "class clown" so full of fun and a joy to be around. So sad to miss him at the 50th. Glad he was loved by family and friends.

Our deepest sympathy to Virgil's family. He was so funny, such a sportsman, and a member of my family for many years starting in middle school and forward. We were married in 1966 and our daughter was born in 1972. Shelley Lynn and I remember Virgil with great fondness and have many memories about him as a father and husband. We are saddened to learn of his passing and wish time had not gone by so quickly. Please post when the memorial will take place.

My deepest condolances - we had a lot of good times before high school. I was really looking forward to seeing him on the occasion of the 50th and giving him a big hug - timing is everything - just have to wait a little longer. Gob bless and keep you, Virg.

Virgil always left us laughing...except this time. Remembered fondly.

I knew Virgil as a fun-loving and great guy - there were many times I'd hold my sides, in laughter, as he was such a nut (I mean that nicely) with the funny things he'd say. He gave us all, who knew him, a smile every day.
It was great that the man, requesting info asked about him as it brought back wonderful memories of Virgil...
